Nelly Morón

“Arts is the expression of feeling moulded on canvas, wood or metal in artistic and natural manner, integrating nature with reality and imagination with abstract.”

Biography:

Nelly Morón Getar is Colombian Coffee Region born, a daughter of Lebanese immigrants.

Since she was a little girl, Nelly admired the art in all its expressions: Poetry, Theatre, Music and Painting.

She went to University in Bogota and graduate in Dentistry, profession that is art and science, worked for many years and raising her children.

Immigrated to Canada in 1994, years later she realized her dream: To paint; to begin like a hobby, transformed into a wonderful passion.

She attended to Violeth Dussan Arts academy, specializing in Liquid Embroidery on fabric using 3D colours. With the instructor Jorge Enrique Lopez developed techniques of iron oxide and marmoline on wood. She took private lessons with the well known Colombian exhibitor and artist German Gomez Velasquez, working in oil on canvas, painting landscapes and still life.

In Canada she has participating in several workshop and seminar. Her open mind and constant looking to develop new techniques give her the opportunity to experiment with other mediums like watercolour-gouache and acrylic, with the guide of Lila Lewis and D .D. Gadjanski, she entered in the marvellous and impressionist world of Abstract.
