Biography:
Born in Soerabaja, Dutch East Indies, now known as Indonesia, Jane immigrated from The Netherlands to Canada in 1951. Jane’s interest in the arts and particularly in painting was fostered as a child in Holland. The maturing of her style and subject matter developed in Canada.
Jane has augmented her skills through studies and workshops with several professional artists and continues to take workshops at every opportunity.
Besides several solo exhibitions, she has participated in many juried and non-juried shows.
Living in Willowdale, Jane is an active artist, painting in oil, watercolour and acrylic.
She has had many commissioned works, and many of her paintings are in private collections.
