Brenda Bornstein

"I love painting as it allows me to express my love of colour, form and texture."

Biography:

Brenda has always shown a keen interest in art, winning several awards throughout her years in school. After graduation, with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, majoring in Fine Arts, Brenda studied at Central Tech, Three Schools of Art and the Haliburton School of The Arts. Later, Brenda studied Design at The Koffler School of The Arts under the tutelage of Renata Realini. Throughout this five-year programme, Renata greatly influenced Brenda’s way of seeing the world and analyzing colour. Subsequently, Brenda completed an Interior Decorating course at Seneca College and worked in that milieu for several years.

Brenda was first introduced to the medium of watercolour in 1993 and it was love at first sight. She has continued to augment her skills through her own experimentation with different mediums and ongoing study with many professional artists and teachers.

Brenda’s background in graphic design shines through in her realism and use of colour.
